Yoga

So, I really want to take some yoga classes. I tried doing the "hot" yoga (Birkram I think is the name) and I just did not like it. I loved challenging myself to do the poses and to breathe correctly but man oh man it was just TOOOOOOO hot!
I have been looking into some "regular" yoga classes around town and they are so expensive! To spend an extra $200 bucks a month on yoga is just ridiculous!
Anyway, I was reading an article about Jenny McCarthy the other day and she says she just bought a few DVD's and does yoga in her garage. She is freakin awesome at the poses and her body looks AMAZING!
I just wonder how you know what DVD to buy (the article didn't say which ones she uses)???
I am going to look at some reviews and then decide I guess!

Dixie's Ears

I have a dog named Dixie. She is a German Short Hair Pointer and has no idea that she is, in fact, a dog! She really thinks she is human. She runs our household for sure!
She is a daddy's girl and will let everyone know that he is hers and she ain't sharing! Those two are like peas and carrots for sure...I am totally jealous of their relationship haha!

Anyway, when I get a chance to have some Dixie time I love to rub her ears. They are so soft and silky. She loves it and usually falls to sleep.
Thos cute little ears of hers remind me of the blanket that I used to carry around when I was little. It was fluffy pink with a silk band running all along the outside of it. I would bunch up the fabric between my fingers and rub it on my face. I loved the way it felt.
These blankets didn't last too long as the silk part would fall off! Well, my paw paw wouldn't let me be without a new one for long. We would head down to the Rex All drugstore and I could pick out a new one...
They came in a box, all nice and neat with a bow.

I loved those blankets and I love my Dixie girl's ears for reminding me of them!

needing motivation

I am in need of some major motivation...my gym routine is pretty much done! It is so hard to workout inside and it is way too cold to do anything outside.
So I decided to try to get a Pole Pedal Paddle team together. If you live in Oregon you know what this event is...if not google it!!
Naw, it is a race that consists of 6 legs:
Downhill Skiing
Cross Country Skiing
Biking
10k run
Kayaking
Sprint Run
You can have a team or do it all by yourself....

Anyway, it is a really big deal here in Bend! I have always wanted to do it but never felt like bugging people about it.
This year I decided that I HAVE to do it...for the MOTIVATION of course!
I am pretty close to geting a full team together and to make it even better it is gonna be ALL WOMEN!!!

I will keep you updated and hopefully stay motivated!

been A while

Boy, it has been a long time since I have been on here. There seems to be so much technology out there that I seem to forget which ones I am part of sometimes!
Let's see; there is Facebook and MySpace and Twitter and Blogspot....that's a lot of checking in!

I think I might just stick with this blog and facebook from now on. The blog is mostly for my enjoyment and Facebook lets me keep in touch with friends and family which is nice.

Anyway, I am gonna try to update more!
